Michael D. Wilson, 51, of Sweet Home passed away Thursday. He was born in Baker County, Oregon to Donald B. and Darlene (Burnside) Wilson.

Michael came to Sweet Home in 1963. He graduated from high school in Independence, Oregon. He worked for himself as ‘Mike’s R/C’ for several years. In the past two years, he worked for Santiam Hobbies. Michael enjoyed driving R/C cars, spending time with his grandkids, hanging out with friends, traveling, and dancing.

Michael is survived by: his daughter, Tamara and son-in-law Joseph Marshall; grandchildren, AJ Marshall and Kylie Marshall; mother, Darlene Wilson-Deardorff; sisters, Ladonna Chaffin and Barbara Kragness; and brother, David Wilson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Wilson, in 2004 and his father, Donald B. Wilson, in 1995.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, at Lewis Cemetery in Sweet Home. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Michael Wilson to the family: c/o Sweet Home Funeral Chapel; 1443 Long St.; Sweet Home, OR 97386.
