Mary Lou Smith, 81, of Sweet Home passed away Thursday. She was born in Fanshaw, Oklahoma to Jesse Roy and Della May (Askew) Bedwell.

She moved to Lebanon in 1950. She married Clifford Smith in August 1951 in Lebanon. They moved to Sweet Home in 1988 and owned and operated Midway Grocery for six years.

Mary loved to crochet and made tablecloths, doilies, bedspreads, and more.

She is survived by: her husband, Clifford of Sweet Home; son, David Smith of Sweet Home; daughter, Pam Pacey of Sweet Home; and grandchildren, Colby Pacey and Jesse Smith.

Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Jo Walker.

At her request, no services are planned.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
