Mary Jean Gohl, 77, of Sweet Home, Oregon died Friday, August 16, 2013. She was born in Roseburg to Leroy and Mary Hazel (Dysert) Buell. Mary was one of eight children.

Mary graduated from Roseburg High School in 1954 and the University of Oregon in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science degree in education.

She had many friends in Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Alaska who will miss her greatly.

Mary is survived by: her husband of 52 years, Richard Gohl; four wonderful children, Richard Jr., Douglas, Holly, and Amy; sister, Martha Sabala; brother, Frank Buell; seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mary, may you rejoice in heaven upon meeting all those that preceded you.

A memorial service will be held at Bethel Lutheran Church in Sweet Home at a later date.
