Mary “Jane” (Blain) Gourley, 91, of Foster passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024. She was born in Hillsboro to Gladys Naomi (Robertson) and Clarence Myron Blain.

Jane grew up in Sweet Home and graduated from Sweet Home High School. She married William Mancel Gourley, June 25, 1952 in Cascadia.

Jane was involved in her children and grandchildren’s lives and loved spending time with them and her family. She was a Girl Scout Leader and an avid softball player. Jane was very creative and enjoyed doing crafts she especially loved crocheting. She loved the outdoors, camping, swimming, hiking, fishing, hunting and being in the woods.

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was an important part of Jane’s life. She was an avid genealogist, a member of the Relief Society, a genealogy director and a Gleaners volunteer.

Jane is survived by her children: James (Lisa) Gourley Sr. of Sweet Home and Valerie (Richard) Parkinson of Salt Lake City, Utah; grandchildren: James Gourley Jr., Kimberly Gourley, Cynthia Gourley-Webster, Jacquelyn Welling, Christy Lastrapes, Laura Jean Gourley, Cody Orrock and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Gourley.

Viewing will be 10:00 am Monday July 22nd at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sweet Home. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am. Final Burial will take place at Gilliland Cemetery. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements. www.sweethomefuneral.com.
