Lester Edward Scott, 94, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014. He was born in Tracy, Minnesota to Irving and Mary (Edwards) Scott.

He moved to Seattle, Washington in 1956 to work for Boeing. He made trips trips to South Africa and Germany to train coworkers on flap assembly. He moved to a 40-acre farm in Onalaska, Washington in 1970 and did carpentry work at that time. He moved to Sweet Home in 1984.

Lester loved woodworking, gardening, western books, and pie!

He is survived by: his children, Lowell and his wife Pat Scott of Seattle, Washington, Anita and her husband John Lewis of McMinnville, Connie Newell of Sacramento, California, Jan and her husband “Bud” Ralph Lindau of Sacramento, California, Jeanne Asai of Arizona, and Laurie and her husband Mike Kennedy of Sweet Home; seven grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

Lester was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Louise (Foster) Scott, in 2013.

A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 22, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Final burial was at Gilliland Cemetery.
