KateLyne LeeAnne Dugan, 10, of Sweet Home, passed away Monday. She was born in North Bend to Patrick L. D. and Leslie A. Dugan.
KateLyne lived in Coos Bay, Eugene, Springfield, North Bend, and Idaho Falls within her first four years of life. She moved to Sweet Home when she was 5 years old. She went to Foster Elementary for kindergarten through second grade and Hawthorne Elementary for third grade.
KateLyne enjoyed collecting pretty rocks for Mom. She liked getting Fabergé eggs for Dad. She liked to play video games with her brother, and she saved bread to feed the ducks at Sankey Park. She liked to collect pictures and figurines of pigs with her “Nana.” She also enjoyed going to get treats with her “Pops.”
KateLyne attended Riverside Christian Church. She loved to go to Brownsville Lake and Foster Lake to swim and loved to play in the snow. She enjoyed family outings, local parades, Sportsman Holiday, and the rodeo to see the clowns, where she formed a special friendship with the clown named “JJ.”
She is survived by her parents, Patrick and Leslie of Sweet Home; her brother, Aaron Dugan; grandparents, Patrick Edward and Charlotte Dugan of Idaho Falls and Herb and Leann Roth of Coos Bay; great grandparents, Vern Roth of Salem and Richard and Julie Amundson of Sweet Home. She held a special place in her heart for her Pops and Nana, Bob and Lona Ikola, and her “Big Sister,” Lilly Gilbert; her extended family, Grandma Gayle Davis, Auntie Kishya Davis, Auntie Lacey Francis; her tutor and dear friend, Terri Boshart; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins that are traveling from Idaho, Arizona, and all over Oregon; and Godmother, Angie Coleman of Nevada.
She is preceded in death by her great grandmother, Dorothy Roth, friend in life and death, Brian Gilbert, and a lot of family members.
