Karen Jane Wagner
January 6, 1936 – October 16, 2023

Karen Jane Wagner, 87, of Sweet Home went to be with her Jesus and reunited with her sweet daughter Susan on October 16, 2023. She was born January 6, 1936 to Lloyd and Audrey (Crosby) Boreing in Windsor, Colorado.

She has lived in Colorado, Billings, Montana, Astoria, Newport and Redmond before settling in Sweet Home in 1970. Karen worked at the Redmond and Sweet Home School Districts as a secretary. She was a member of the Episcopal Church.

Karen loved doing life with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her love was unconditional and constant. She also loved swimming with her friends at the Sweet Home Community Pool.

Survived by her devoted husband Emery Wagner of Sweet Home; children: Rick Wagner of LaGrande, Julie Perry of Bend; her loving brother Michael Boreing of Portland; 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her precious daughter Susan Fitzsimons (August 2, 2005).

A celebration of life will be 1 – 4 pm Saturday May 4th at Sunshine Industries in Sweet Home. Memorial contributions can be made to one of her favorite charities: Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders, Sweet Home School District, St. Jude, OPB, or National Wildlife Foundation.
