Judith Kay Cockrell, age 63, of Sweet Home passed away Tuesday. She was born in Ada, Minnesota to Arthur and Marie Jeanette (Opgrand) Hogetvedt. She later lived in California and Arizona, and then finally made her home in Oregon in 1972.

Judith and her husband managed a Stuckey’s pecan shop for many years, and then worked at Central Linn School District as a custodian until retirement. She loved to fish, camp, and travel. She was a very good cook and everyone will miss her cooking.

Judith is survived by her daughters, Brenda (husband, Bill McNabb) of Sweet Home and Noralynn ( husband, Kevin Williams) of Sweet Home; sons, William Cockrell Jr. of Texas and Alan Cockrell (wife, Wendy) of Harrisburg; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Cockrell, on Oct. 29, 2004 and her parents.
