A viewing will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Lebanon, in the Relief Society room. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel.
Juanita Frances Davis, age 77, of Lebanon passed away on Easter morning at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born in Yamhill, Oregon to Peter Paul and Lona Mae (Hewitt) Weidman.
As a child, Juanita’s family moved to Vernonia, Oregon, where she lived until 1957 and would meet her future husband. Juanita married James Quentin Davis on September 4, 1948 in Vernonia. Jim and Juanita had four children. The family moved from Vernonia to Sweet Home before ultimately settling in Lebanon in 1963.
Juanita loved sewing, gardening, crafts, her friends, and her family. As an adult, Juanita joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she served for many years as a nursery leader.
Juanita is survived by her husband, James; her children, Daniel Paul Davis and his wife, Karen, James Alton Davis and his wife, Mary Alice, Pamela Mae Lacy and her husband, Jack, and Donald Allen Davis and his wife, Rebecca; three brothers, Loren Weidman, Paul Weidman, and Robert Weidman; twenty nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Vona Harvey.
