John Emma, 83, of Sweet Home passed away on November 28, 2022 at his home.

John was the previous owner of Santiam Sweeping, Sweet Home Saw Shop and Car Wash. John also worked for the Sweet Home School District and was a member of the Sweet Home city Council. His previous jobs also include butcher and truck driver.

He is survived by 3 children: Steve Emma and his wife Erin of California, Katie Guzman and her husband Gil, Julie Moore all of Sweet Home; two brothers: Vincent Emma, Paul Bettencourt both of California; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his wife Christine Emma who passed away in 2019.

Memorial service will be 2:00 pm Saturday January 14th at Sweet Home VFW.
