Jimmie Allen Childers, 75, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away at home Saturday. He was born in Crawfordsville, Oregon to Victor J. and Margaret Anne (Robinette) Childers.

He served in the United States Air Force for 10 years. During his military service, he lived in California, Nevada, Turkey, and Germany.

Jimmie worked at Georgia Pacific as a core maker.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and genealogy.

Jimmie is survived by: his wife, Laretta of Sweet Home; children, Kevin of New York, Ken of Albany, and Kathy of Sweet Home; sisters, Darlene, Deanna, Debra, and Dena; brother, Charles of Sweet Home; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by: his sisters, Donna, Delores and Dorothy; brother, Victor L. Childers; and his parents.

A memorial service is planned for 5:00 p.m., Monday, October 21, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
