Janice Marie Evans, 74, of McMinnville, Oregon and a longtime Sweet Home resident died Jan. 5, 2015. She was born June 25, 1940 in St. Mary’s, Idaho to Cecil and Lois Streeter.

Mrs. Evans was a homemaker who was lovingly devoted to her family. She loved gardening and music.

She is survived by: three children, Mack Evans, Kathy Kamarek and Pennie Jones, all of Sweet Home; her longtime companion, James Morgan; 16 grandchildren; more than 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Jim Evans; a son, Dallas Evans; a daughter, Dixie Evans-Miller; and her parents.

Mrs. Evans will be buried at Pioneer Cemetery in Brownsville. A memorial service will be held, with that date to be announced later.
