Henry Edward Schwab, 69, of Sweet Home passed away Wednesday. He was born in Lebanon, Oregon to Edward Henry and Helen Jane (Bland) Schwab.
Henry lived in the Sweet Home and Foster area his entire life. He lived in the family home on Liberty Road. He attended Liberty Elementary, and then Sweet Home High School. After high school, the United States Navy. He married Verna May Counts on November 23, 1966 in Foster, Oregon. They moved to Pleasant Valley in 1974.
As a young man, Henry rewound electric motors at City Electric. He later found work as an electrician for Santiam Plywood, which became Willamette Industries.. After that, he worked in Albany for Ormet for twelve years.
Henry was an outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, and farming.
Henry is survived by: his wife, Verna M. Schwab; daughters, Christine M. Taylor and Diji Danette (Schwab) Canevari; sons, Damon Edward Schwab and Robert Dale Ambroz; sister, Minnie Knutson; twelve grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one grandchild and one great grandchild.
