Halvard Green, age 91, of Sweet Home died on Sunday, November 9, 2008. He was born in Jerome, Idaho to Ivan and Mrs. Green.

Halvard married Bettie in August of 1948. They lived in Jerome, Idaho. The couple came to Oregon while Bettie’s, health was declining. Bettie passed away in 1994.

Hal continued to live in Sweet Home. He enjoyed golf with his local friends and work.

Halvard is survived by sister, Helen Mitchelle of Jerome, Idaho; brother, Howard Green of Reno, Nevada; and stepdaughter, Shirley Vandehei of Sweet Home.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and two step children.

Graveside service will 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 14, at Gilliland Cemetery. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling services.
