Gary Curtis Currey, 64, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014. He was born in Los Angeles, California to Walter and Shirley (Bonner) Currey.

He came to Sweet Home from California in 1972. He worked as a local carpenter for over 40 years.

Gary enjoyed jewelry, leatherwork, and visiting friends at local taverns.

He is survived by: his long-time companion, Debbie Bowser; son Curtis Currey; daughters Autumn, Octavia, Amy, Tony, and Annie; brother Terry Currey; 11 grandchildren; one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Currey, and grandson, Tristan.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 31, at Sweet Home VFW.
