Evelyn Sara Wells, 94, of Sweet Home passed away Tuesday at her home. She was born in Bishop, California to Harry C. and Isabell G. (Halle) George.

Evelyn moved from Empire, Nevada to Sweet Home in 1963. She moved to Portland in 1969 and came back to Sweet Home after she retired. Evelyn accepted the Lord in 1983, was baptized, became a member of, and attended Lent’s Baptist Church in Portland. She worked at home raising three sons and taking care of her home.

Evelyn loved gardening, collecting angles and bells, and enjoyed reading.

She is survived by: her sons, George and wife Jean Wells of Ontario, Oregon and Gary and wife Shirley Wells of Sweet Home; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

Evelyn was preceded in death by: her husband, Kenneth Marvin Wells in 1993; son, Kenneth Leroy Wells; brothers, Fred and Art George; and sister, Betty Love.

No services are planned.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
