Viewing will be 9:00 am to noon Thursday, November 15, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Graveside service will be 1:00 pm Thursday at Liberty Cemetery. Officiating pastor is Tom Grenz. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.

Eddie B. Offutt, age 79, of Lebanon died at her home on Friday.

She was born in Idabelle, Oklahoma to George L. and Fanny (Walker) Irwin. She met and married Clyde Offutt on October 4, 1949 in Brownfield, Texas. She was a member of the Sweet Home Pentecostal Church of God. She enjoyed playing card games and spending time with her beloved family. She especially enjoyed traveling to Texas, Utah, New Mexico, and California to visit her precious extended family.

Eddie is survived by five children, Nancy Jean Petermen of Lebanon, Carolyn and Herbert Hopper of Lebanon, George Lee and Kirsten Offutt of Sweet Home, Ernest and Becky Offutt of Marcola, Allen Everett, and Jo Offutt of Lebanon; two brothers, Virgil Irwin of Oklahoma and George W. Irwin of Salt Lake City, Utah; two sisters, Gertrude Potts of Oklahoma and Geneva L. Smith of Snyder, Texas; 16 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and her beloved niece, Billie Ashley, of Snyder, Texas, who is currently occupied in keeping the ne’er do wells and criminals of Texas incarcerated. Also other nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde; her parents; one sister; two brothers; a son-in-law; and three grandchildren.

Viewing will be 9:00 am to noon Thursday, November 15, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Graveside service will be 1:00 pm Thursday at Liberty Cemetery. Officiating pastor is Tom Grenz. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
