A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at Liberty Cemetery in Sweet Home, Oregon. A memorial service will be held in July. The date is not yet decided. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling services. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel will be handling her arrangements.
Clella Belle Barger, 76, a resident of Seal Rock, Oregon, died Friday, June 15, 2007 at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. Clella was born on December 28, 1930 in Sweet Home; the daughter of Russell and Ethel (McKern) Alexander.
She married Jack L. Barger, and as a young couple, they moved around for many years, until settling in the Yakima Valley. Jack was a truck driver and a pastor. Clella manufactured fishing lures at Warden’s Lures. They lived in Granger, Washington from 1964 until 2003 when Jack passed away. Clella stopped working and continued living in Granger, spending time with family often.
In the last year she has lived with her son and daughter-in-law in Seal Rock. Clella loved to read and garden. She loved being a grandmother and loved her family.
She is survived by her two sons, David Barger of Fort Worth, Texas and Joe and his wife, Linda Barger, of Seal Rock; one brother, John Alexander; one sister, Alice Schwitzer; six grandchildren: Johnna and Daniel Wade, Kayla Barger, Jodie Lovern, and Kalara and Ashley Barger; and three great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Jack Barger; daughter, Jackie Wade; son, Larry Barger; and three brothers, Noel, Ernest, and Donald, all preceded her in death.
