A viewing will take place at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 4, 2013 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lebanon. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m.. Final burial will be at Providence Cemetery in Scio.

Clea Meryl Hendricks Hugie of Lebanon, Oregon, died Wednesday in the Avamere Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 31, 1929 in Richmond, Utah to Bryan H and Bertha (Roskelley) Hendricks.

She grew up on a farm, helping her dad with all the tasks a farm brings. She learned very early to ride a horse to bring the cows home each night for milking. She married her high school sweetheart, Donovan A Hugie, on June 4, 1948, in the Logan Utah LDS Temple. They raised six children living in Utah, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington.

Clea loved music, playing in the high school band, leading a girls chorus for several years, and serving as chorister in many LDS church capacities. She served in many leadership positions in her church.

She is survived by: her daughters, Linda of Centerville, Utah and Barbara and Gary Craig of Cibolo, Texas; sons, , Scott and his wife, Marsha, from Lebanon, Oregon, Dennis from Scio, Oregon, and Darin and his wife, Susie, of Lebanon, Oregon. She had 18 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews

Clea was preceded in death by her husband in 2001 and her son, Darrell, passed away in 2000.
