Billie Lou Hockett, 83, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013. Billie was born in Salem, Oregon to Jessie and Leona (Jones) Hart.

She married Franklin Harrison Cron in June 1946. They had four children and later divorced.

Billie married William Hockett July 31, 1962 in Carson City, Nevada. They had two children together.

Billie was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses baptized August 16, 1968 in Medford, Oregon and attended in Sweet Home. She loved gardening and flowers. Billie loved horses and trained, boarded, and sold them. Something that everyone recognized about Billie was her laugh. It was very distinct and infectious.

Billie is survived by: her husband, Bill Hockett; children, Mary Cosner of Gearheart, Leroy Cron of Springfield, MO, Juanita Hall of Sweet Home, Bill Cron of Idaho, Lisa Fetters of Prescott, AZ, and Ed Hockett of Sweet Home; brother, Leon Hall of Sweet Home; sisters, Carma Dean of Ft. Mohave, AZ and Ginger; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild; and uncle, Bill Jones of Cottage Grove.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her sisters, Jean Foxe, Cora, and Katrina; and grandson, Dirk Fetters.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4714 Hwy 20, Sweet Home, Oregon.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
