Betty Jean Meacham, 82, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Thursday. She was born in Iowa to Lawrence and Henrietta (Dejoung) Leest.

She was married in Sweet Home and was a long-time resident. She enjoyed fishing, bowling, golfing, square dancing, and board games.

Betty is survived by: her daughter, Cindy Pendergraft of Vancouver, Washington; sisters Evelyn Manning and Francis Pedersen, both of Portland; brothers Don Leest of Coos Bay, Henry Leest of North Bend, and Gerald Leest of Sweet Home; granddaughter Autumn Bliege; grandsons Brandon Pendergraft, Tim Meacham, and Eric Pendergraft; and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jess Meacham, in 2003 and son, Norman Meacham, in 2013.
