A celebration of life with military honors is planned for 1:00 p.m., May 1, 2015 at his son Joe’s home.
Belton B. “Tex” Ashcraft, 84, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Monday, April 27. He was born on November 5, 1930 in Columbus, Mississippi. He was the son of Belton C. and Maude (Ponds) Ashcraft.
He served in the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1962.
He liked fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. He also enjoyed tinkering with electronics and photography.
He is survived by: his wife, Lillian “Lonnie” Ashcraft, of Sweet Home; children, James Ashcraft, Joseph Ashcraft and wife Kristen, and Lorene Ashcroft and husband Henry Romandia—all of Sweet Home; brothers, Don Ashcraft and wife Lu of Las Vegas, NV; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and two nieces.
