Albert James Bertolotti

Albert James Bertolotti, age 93, of Sweet Home passed away Thursday. He was born in Los Angeles, California to Angelo Giuseppe and Nellie Price (Malloy) Bertolotti.
Albert served in the U.S. Army from November 1943 to January 1946. He travelled overseas on the Queen Mary and to Italy with the artillary.
Albert lived in Los Angeles until moving to Pacoima, California in 1952. In August of 1995, he moved to Vancouver, Washington, and then to Lebanon, Oregon in 2004. Between 2005 and 2009, he lived in Corvallis and Sweet Home with his daughter and son, respectively.
Albert worked for the City of Los Angeles. He was a member of the American Legion, Woodman Square YMCA, Indian Guides, Gray Y, and Corbra’s. He was a deacon and elder at Valley Christian Church. He loved camping and fishing and telling stories.
He is survived by his son, James A. Bertolotti (wife, Diane) of Sweet Home; daughter, Bonnie J. Little of Corvallis; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren in Oregon, Washington, and California.
Albert was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Lou, in January 2005 and his daughter, Mary Lou Gillispie, in January 2000.
The family will have a memorial gathering at a later date.
